I'll be returning to Indiana in the last week of June and hope to actually do some things on The House while I'm there. Life in Budapest has been idyllic, but I'm looking forward to a little house time.
Hey, my dad just bought the ruins of a house on Lake Cumberland, says he's moving down there (they just had the floor rebuilt and he's looking at bids for the upstairs - the house burned down but the basement's in perfect condition and was finished, so he scored a pretty decent price for a good location).
Ha. If so, the mutation was with my dad. My granddad had no inclination to work with his hands at all; he was an accountant at Chrysler his entire career and spent the last thirty years of his life with no more tool use than operation of the TV remote.
That's great, I could use some inspiration.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Kentucky. :-)
So it's genetic, this house-rescuing urge? LIke my grandmother and plants.
